This bonus barn is a uniquely personal music venue built for House Concerts hosted by the Hobsons.

What is a House Concert? It is a chance to meet and hear performers up close and personal in a warm, intimate space. A House Concert is an invitation-only music performance in someone’s home, attended by the host’s friends and neighbors, and on occasion, fans of the artists performing. If you have never been to a House Concert, you are missing out on a great musical experience!

A House Concert is not a business, and the Hobsons do not profit from the event. Traditionally, artists are paid by a suggested donation requested of each guest.

The Hobsons host House Concerts because they love music, especially acoustic guitar music, and want to share that joy of music with others. It gives them great pleasure to see a room full of folks captivated by music and enjoying themselves and each other’s company. This is also a very important way to help support independent artists and to give them another avenue to introduce new music and to make new fans.

Al Hobson is a musician in his own right. He is a founding member of The Fabulous Retronauts, an “oldies” cover band that performs acoustic renditions of 60’s, 70’s and 80’s favorites. They are quite literally a “garage band” that rehearses in a barn and are just out to have fun and share that fun with others!
